Improving Kentucky’s system of care for individuals on the autism spectrum
This report represents a summary of the work of the Kentucky Advisory Council on Autism for fiscal year 2024-2025 including the work of three lifespan subcommittees, Office of Autism projects, and the Innovative Supports for Autistic Workers Project. Through this combined work, significant gains have been made in the education and resources developed for self- advocates, parents, and professionals. During the past two years, the Council continued to collaborate with autistics and other individuals with lived experience to promote neuro-affirming approach when working with autistic and their families.
This document, created by KY autistics, aims to support autistics and their allies by providing consistent definitions. By establishing common knowledge and understanding, it helps KYACA representatives, and their partners collaborate more effectively.
